The Cape May County Police Academy is located directly off the New Jersey Garden State Parkway. At approximately mile - post eleven, there will be a traffic light. (National Guard Center on left) At this traffic light make a left hand turn. Continue straight, past the Cape May County Correctional Center. Continue past the Veterans Cemetery. The Police Academy is located on your right.

From the South

As above except a right turn will be made at the mile post eleven traffic light. (National Guard Center on right).

From the West

Atlantic City Expressway to Garden State Parkway exit 7S. Proceed as directions from North.

The Cape May County Police Academy has seven motel rooms available to us through the Cape May County Technical High School Hotel/Motel Program. This motel is "The Inn at CMCTS." The program is totally run by high school students seeking a profession in the hotel/motel field. Four rooms are single occupancy and two rooms are double occupancy. The prices range from $20.00 per night plus tax for the single rooms and $26.00 per night plus tax for the double rooms. The rooms are located within walking distance of the police academy.

These rooms are nicely arranged and have a telephone, refrigerator, coffee maker and color television. No smoking or alcoholic beverages are allowed in these rooms. This rule is strictly enforced. We do not want to lose our ability to provide this low cost housing to your department.

Long distance phone calls can be made through use of a credit card or calling card. Local calls are free. After hours (2:30PM or when school is not in session) there is no front desk service available.

These rooms are available on a first come basis and can either be reserved through the Police Academy or the Vocational High School students involved with the Hotel/Motel Course. To reserve through "The Inn at CMCTS" please call 609-465-2161 x 440 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 10:00am or 12:30pm and 2:00pm. This is an exceptional value and exceptional rooms afforded us by the local students and Cape May County Technical High School.

Located on base is a cafeteria that will serve breakfast and lunch at $2.25 and $3.25 respectively.

RATES: Located 15 minutes North of the Police Academy, the Port-O-Call is a first class hotel on the boardwalk in Ocean City. Restaurants are available at the hotel. Located 15 minutes to the North of the hotel are the casinos at Atlantic City.

RATES: Located 15 minutes South of the Police Academy, the Atlas Inn is across the street from the beach in Cape May. There are restaurants available at the Inn and Resort. Located in historical Cape May, which is an attractive and active historical town. Rates are greatly reduced for the police academy. Mention that you are attending courses at the academy for the best rates available.

Cape May County Police Academy Dorms

When recruit classes are not in session, the academy dorms are available from the County of Cape May at $8.00 per night. There is a kitchen area and television available as well as a computer room. Check with the police academy for availability. You must supply your own linens. (Recruits are in session from August 28th – January 12th )
