The academy recruits are taught chain of command, military drill, and team work that is an essential part of the police environment. The academy drill instructors have been trained by the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard. The recruits show their skills at graduation where a military drill demonstration is put on prior to being formally dismissed after the graduation ceremony.
