Attempts to break a physical fitness record must be witness and verified by two instructors. Recruits are given three tests while at the police academy. To date only three recruits have scored a perfect 100% on this test, although many have come close. The below chart is the present academy physical fitness records as of April 2, 2003. Pushups and sit-ups are counted for a one minute time limit without stopping, and curl ups are counted for a two minute time limted.
